SRS Software functions explained (direct unlock, relock, etc)

Solution

Our software contains a lot of different functions which can confuse you. We have done our best to order the functionality in our software as clearly as possible and we have hidden some functionality which is mostly only used for advanced users.

Function Discription
Rescan

The rescan button attempts to detect the drivers on your computer needed to communicate with your phone and sets the Port configuration to the correct numbers. Note this function does not always function 100% correctly due to build-in modems and 3rd party drivers which respond the same way as the correct drivers

Read Unlock Codes

This function will read data of the phone and descypt the unlock codes and show them to the user so he / she can enter the codes into the phone manually. The best way for unlocking.

Direct Unlock

The Direct Unlock button either sends a direct unlock command to the phone or writes the unlock codes (decrypted from the phone's memory) directly to the phone.

Read E2P Codes

A different technique for reading the unlock codes from the phone with same result as 'Read Unlock Codes'.

Read SysInfo Codes

Again a different technique for reading the unlock codes from the phone with the same results as 'Read Unlock Codes'.

SRS Download

This opens a new screen to connect to our support servers to download firmwares, software and other supporting files and software for Samsung servicing (only recommended for Pro users)

Reset User Code

A free function to reset or read the phone lock (aka security code, user code) or bypass or turn off the Pattern Lock (on Android phones)

Product Code Changer

A free function to change the product code on your Android phone. This allows you to flash newer just released firmwares with KIES software even if the firmware is not available for your region.

Baseband Repair Tool Phones with 'unknown baseband' problem or IMEI blank or just all zeros need to fix the baseband before they can attempt to repair the IMEI to revive the phone from the dead. This function is also free! (Recommended only for advanced users)
IMEI Repair

The IMEI Repair function is ONLY for IMEI repairing, IMEI change is prohibited and your details will be shared with law enforcement when needed. In case you have IMEI 0049xxx you can use this function to change it back to original (highly recommended only for advanced users)

SNR Repair

SNR is a checksum (also called MSLADR) or Serial Number on your phone. If you damaged your IMEI and or Baseband is is possible the SNR is damaged also which can prevent yoru phone from working normally. In that case you need to repair it (highly recommended only for advanced users).

Relock to Any

Relock to ANY means relocking your phone to ANY Network you choose. You will need the MMC / MNC of your network (5 digit number) (recommended for advanced users)

Relock to Original

Relock to Original will only relock the phone to the original network it was locked on before. You can NOT choose the network to relock it on (recommended for advanced users)

Read NVM

Only for Android phones, the NVM on the phone is a part of the phone's memory where important information is stored like simlock data and IMEI. Making a back-up or reading a NVM from a working phone can be used to repair a broken model (if exactly the same model!) (highly recommended only for advanced users).

Write NVM

Only for Android phones, the NVM on the phone is a part of the phone's memory where important information is stored like simlock data and IMEI. Writing a NVM from a working phone can be used to repair a broken model (if exactly the same model!) (highly recommended only for advanced users).
